Press release | A few days before the next HiFiDeLuxe in Monaco, Diesis Audio announces two great innovations, which will be presented at the parallel fair at Monaco High End, dedicated exclusively to audio of the highest level, aka "esoteric" audio:
- Diesis EdoVox stand speaker
- Diesis Musica class A hybrid integrated amplifier

Diesis EdoVox, the speaker that wasn't there
Fourteen years after the presentation of the then revolutionary Caput Mundi loudspeaker project, Diesis Audio gives voice to the smallest dipole loudspeaker system in the world, again with a medium-high section with compression driver and very short circular horn, to allow optimal listening already two meters away, therefore suitable for small and medium-sized environments. After the first production dipole speaker, the Caput Mundi model, Diesis Audio relaunches the challenge to the market with its first mini dipole speaker, the Diesis Audio EdoVox. In short, no one before Diesis Audio had believed in a complete production of such a kind of loudspeakers. Today the Diesis catalog is enriched and completed with the first model of stand-mounted mini dipole speaker. By popular demand from its audience of loyal customers, Diesis therefore presents EdoVox, so the brand that was the first to introduce and establish itself on the market with dipole loudspeakers now demonstrates that the same could be done with bookshelf loudspeakers.
Also known as bookshelf or stand speakers, mini speakers are characterized by their small dimensions and for being typically two-way. They also certainly constitute the most crowded, numerous, competitive and economically most relevant segment of the loudspeaker market. Never before, however, has anyone presented a completely dipole project to the market, as all the products available are "boxes", i.e. closed or partially open volumes, with reflex arrangements of some kind.

Diesis EdoVox speakers are built around a composite structure of materials, selected and proprietary, which ensures greater control, focus and definition of the audio message. This piece of furniture is made with a sandwich of quality materials, such as Corian, solid wood, PVC and rubber. The weight is also important, almost three times that of an equivalent wooden cabinet, to the benefit of vibration dampening and signal control, avoiding the typical euphonious and uncontrolled reinforcement of classic speakers made of wood or MDF. This system with its base in Clad 58 consequently allows an already optimal agreement at any distance from the rear wall while maintaining an unexpected bass and articulation for the size, with a sensitivity of effective 92.5 dBs.
The two 10-inch midrange and woofer speakers were chosen for the project specifications with a very light paper cone and triple wave cotton suspension, deeply customized and supported by a very high-quality crossover. Another sophisticated peculiarity of this project is the horn loading of the bass woofer which, cut at 200 hertz, only acts as a reinforcement for the so-called two and a half ways system. EdoVox therefore has two 25 cm woofers, very light and with rigid suspension, with great low frequency extension for their size, practically unique in world production. As mentioned, the first emits downwards and is cut at 200 Hz with a calculated tuning, which allows the speaker to be placed on any flat surface without particular attention. The second woofer emits from the front and deals with great energy, thanks to its size, with medium frequencies, up to 1800 hertz. The compression driver and exponential profile horn takes care of the remaining frequencies, well beyond the audible since it offers declared data that goes beyond 20,000 hertz.

The Diesis EdoVox crossover being defined.
The three speakers are coordinated by an oversized crossover, to avoid component saturation phenomena, totally point-to-point wired with high quality components treated with dielectric resins according to military standards.
The anti-seismic base is designed to be placed either on stand already available in the audiophile's system or implemented with a structure – which can be purchased separately – to form a dedicated stand for the EdoVox speaker. This, in addition to having the task of loading the bass woofer, can also house the precious crossover filter, placing it outside the speaker cabinet, to further remove potential acoustic feedback phenomena, to the benefit of the overall quality of the sound message.
In Diesis' intentions, the EdoVox wants to sound like all great floorstand speakers should sound, that is, complete and extended, "open" and vibrant, capable of great bass and precision at the same time, without that feeling of compressed and boxy sound that characterizes the majority of mini/bookshelf speakers.

The name of the EdoVox speakers is finally a tribute to the fresh voice of Edoardo, the first grandson of Giuseppe Gabbarini, owner and designer of Diesis Audio, who became a grandfather a few days ago. It is therefore a name "chosen with the heart" and dedicated to a new life, which made 2024 significant, unique and unforgettable.
Every detail of the EdoVox is consequently the result of years of experience gathered with the bigger Diesis models, which still today garner acclaim all over the world.

Diesis Musica integrated amp, the integral entry level
Musica is the new integrated amplifier from Diesis. It is a 50 watt per channel class A hybrid audio amplifier, with valves in the first stage and MOSFETs in the final stage, without feedback, i.e. zero feedback. Very generous in power supply and voltage output, it also comes with a pre output, to be used with other stereo or mono power final amplifiers, as well as both balanced RCA and unbalanced XLR inputs and outputs.

Diesis in Munich, but also Rome
For lovers of strong sensations, Diesis Audio will also be present at the HiFIDeLuxe in Munich with a complete setup of the new version of the Roma speakers accompanied for the occasion by two subwoofer "towers", therefore four in total, Bonham Tribute.
