Press release | A concept album inspired by the world of American natives. A strong passion by Peo Alfonsi since he was a young boy. Oyasin is a word from a Lakota prayer whose meaning, broadly speaking, is "the connection of all things".
In a world such as the present one where divisions, clashes, fears and tensions are prevalent in differences of race, religion and culture, it is worth recapturing this idea of connection that for American Indians was an ethical concept. Perhaps the music can help to remember it to every human being. Music by itself has always represented an obvious connection between soul and body, between emotion and rationality, and therefore educates the soul to connect things, diminishing distances to create union trait.
Peo Alfonsi, guitarist of technical and creative talents, aka as Al Di Meola's companion on the tour of recent years, masterfully supported by Maiore and Dani, two musicians of great solidity, ingenuity and expressive intensity, creates an evocative record of rare strength.
